Windows 10 Anniversary Edition Update

So – today I updated a desktop, my work laptop and my home laptop to Windows 10 anniversary edition. Both the desktop and the work laptop updated with no issues. My home machine however, error-ed out over and over with error code 0x80070057. I found a workaround online. To remedy this – simply run the Windows 10 upgrade.exe file located here:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12387/windows-10-update-history
The actual link to file here: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=821403

Once you run the update – Microsoft will download the entire update locally, and then prompt the user to run a quick compatibility check. Once the check completes with 3 green checks – simply disable your wifi or unplug your ethernet line. The update will run smoothly without the dreaded – 0x80070057 error. Once upgrade is complete – re-enable the nic. Good to go!
